ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The following duties and functions, as outlined herein, are intended to be representative of the type of tasks performed within this classification. They are not listed in any order of importance. The omission of specific statements of duties or functions does not exclude them from the classification if the work is similar, related, or a logical assignment for this classification. Other duties may be required and assigned.

Communication:

• Responsible for the preparation of parish bulletin, reviews, proofreads, and edits content for the bulletin.

• Responsible for maintaining, monitoring, and publishing content for parish social media accounts...Website, Facebook, Instagram and my Parish App.

• Assists with the design and coordination of marketing (i.e. e-mail, letter, digital) campaigns and provide support for marketing efforts for staff and ministries.

• Create and edit flyers, pictures, and videos for print and digital media.

• Advertise parish and special events to the local communities.

• Assist with gathering licenses and permissions for media usage.

• Organizes and attends promotional events

Other Duties:

• Responsible for managing the facility calendar as well as uploading it to the website.

• Coordinates and schedules meetings, meeting rooms, and required equipment for ministry meetings and parish functions.

• Ensures all ministry/parish events are on the parish calendar and are promoted on all media platforms.

• Manage and order promotional material...banners, magnets, shirts, etc. as needed

• Create pre-Mass PowerPoint slides

• (Bi-weekly) Upload cell group videos and reflections

• Attends staff meetings, retreats and trainings as required.

• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, or a related field and three (3) or more years' experience and/or training.

OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES

• Must be highly organized, accurate and detail oriented.

• Must be able to meet deadlines and set priorities.

• Ability to work with diverse groups of people in an atmosphere of collaboration and service.

• Excellent written and oral communication skills as well as effective personal interaction.

• Ability to take initiative regarding research and editing.

• Ability to interact with staff (at all levels) in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under pressure, remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful, and efficient, with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.

• Knowledge of email marketing software.

• Ability to work evenings and weekends as required for special events, meetings, travel, etc.

• Must adhere to all Diocesan Policy for communications.
