My UP News seeks a technical director for our morning news program.

The candidate should be prepared to take a collaborative leadership role in the broadcast production of our newscasts. You will work with camera, audio, and graphics operators along with on-air talent to execute all aspects of the program effectively.

We are looking for someone who can maintain a calm and focused attention to detail during breaking news and other live broadcast changes.

Additional Job Responsibilities

• Review all video/audio/graphics prior to broadcast to ensure quality standards.
• Coordinate with graphics, audio, and camera technicians regarding the appearance and execution before, during, and after the newscast.
• Operate video, audio, and camera selection using a Ross video switcher.
• Assist News and Production departments with live video and recordings as needed.
• Train new production assistants in supporting roles related to news production.

Requirements & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in television production or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience with Ross video switchers is preferred.
