My UP News seeks a technical director for our morning news program.
The candidate should be prepared to take a collaborative leadership role in the broadcast production of our newscasts. You will work with camera, audio, and graphics operators along with on-air talent to execute all aspects of the program effectively.
We are looking for someone who can maintain a calm and focused attention to detail during breaking news and other live broadcast changes.
Additional Job Responsibilities Review all video/audio/graphics prior to broadcast to ensure quality standards.
Coordinate with graphics, audio, and camera technicians regarding the appearance and execution before, during, and after the newscast.
Operate video, audio, and camera selection using a Ross video switcher.
Assist News and Production departments with live video and recordings as needed.
Train new production assistants in supporting roles related to news production.
Requirements & Skills Bachelor’s degree in television production or related field, or equivalent experience.
Experience with Ross video switchers is preferred.
