Job Summary

Core Duties
- Brainstorm social media content ideas for social media platforms, specifically Instagram and TikTok
- Plan, film, and edit short-form video content that highlights student life.
- Capture video content showcasing student life at UP, including annual events like CPB events (Riverboat, Rock The Bluff, etc), Scholarship Day, etc. Edit longer videos into short, 15-30 second captioned clips
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and communicating progress with supervisors
- Maintain organized digital files and project documentation.
- Other relevant duties as assigned
- Experience with filming and editing photo and video content with iPhone
- Cap Cut, iMovie, In Shot, Adobe Creative Cloud, or other editing software
- Experience with social media (Tik Tok, Instagram, You Tube)
- Ability to observe and utilize social media trends to create content.
- Strong public speaking skills and comfortable to be featured to a wide social media audience.
- Strong interpersonal skills that can work collaboratively with student organizations and events.
- Flexible working hours to support capturing events, including evenings and weekends.
- Ability to work independently with direction.
- Social media content creation in a professional setting
- Majoring in Marketing, Communications, or related field
- Frequently: sit, perform desk-based computer tasks; use fine manipulation and grasp
- Occasionally: stand and walk; twist; lift, carry, push, and pull objects that weigh up to 10 pounds.
- Occasionally: ability to attend events and activities on or off campus.
- Frequently: ability to interact and communicate with members of the University and others as necessary.
