Primary Job Title: Technical Writer
Location: St. Paul, MN (Onsite)
Shift/Work Schedule: 8 AM to 5 PM

Salary Rate: Up to $35.97/hr Job Description:

• The Technical Writer reviews, copyedits, and updates software design documentation and reports using templates as a guide
• Understands, implements, and educates others on Quality System requirements as they relate to documentation and change management
• Performs change management for software documentation
• Tracks and reports on information for multiple projects and documents
• Works closely with engineers, managers, and authors to prepare, review, and adjudicate feedback
• Develops, maintains, and expands the team's knowledge base website to unify disparate and ancillary team websites
• Helps create and manage software requirements, style guides, and team workflows

Daily and Monthly Responsibilities:

• Researches, creates, and maintains information architecture templates for easy data migration
• Develops and edits content for maximum usability with a consistent and cohesive voice across all documentation
• Coordinates, schedules, and reports on technical reviews
• Maintains libraries with strong organizational attention
• Tracks tasks and project work using JIRA
• Monitors shared inboxes for cross-functional requests
• Performs database entry and management for software requirements and compiles them into specifications
• Creates templates, instructions, PowerPoints, and spreadsheets to support initiatives
• Disseminates relevant team and manager communications
• Facilitates and coordinates cross-functional team communication

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
• 2–4 years of industry experience as a technical writer
• Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• Proven ability to learn and communicate complex topics
