Position: Senior Communications Specialist, Communications Support, Sr (2)

Essential Functions:
The
Senior Communications Specialist
or
Communications Support Sr
plays a critical role in equipping intra-governmental partners with the necessary information to support the planning, construction, and maintenance of physical components that enhance USBP and AMO's homeland security mission. Success in this role ensures
maximum political and fiscal support
for the PMO and its stakeholders.
1. Strategic Communications & Outreach Develop and implement
comprehensive communication strategies and outreach plans. Coordinate information dissemination
to internal and external stakeholders. Ensure messaging consistency
across PMO and CBP communications. Identify opportunities
to enhance public awareness of PMO initiatives and accomplishments. 2. Communications & Outreach Support
Oversee and maintain content
for the PMO SharePoint homepage (or its replacement system). Provide strategic guidance
on communication and outreach activities on an ongoing/as-needed basis. Spotlight PMO programs and achievements
through effective messaging. Ensure timely and accurate responses
to inquiries from CBP and PMO stakeholders. 3. Policy Development & Public Affairs Support
Develop policy recommendations
to address and correct internal and external misperceptions. Advise senior management
on public affairs strategies to enhance PMO communications. Support leadership
in crafting messaging and strategic direction for public engagement efforts. Required Skills & Qualifications
Expertise in strategic communications , outreach, and stakeholder engagement. Strong analytical and messaging skills
to ensure consistency and accuracy. Experience managing digital platforms , including SharePoint or similar systems. Ability to develop policy recommendations
that enhance communication efforts. Excellent coordination and advisory skills
for high-level stakeholders. Qualifications
