is responsible for planning, organizing, and scheduling crews to complete assigned work orders, including assigning tasks, ensuring high-quality installation, and performing quality inspections. This individual will monitor task completion, compliance, and safety issues. The

Telecommunications Foreman

will have technical knowledge and experience in installing

Telecommunication Systems

including Fiber Optic & Structured Cabling, CCTV, OSP & ISP Copper, and DAS. This position is responsible for the working installation and leading project teams in installing telecommunications cabling and equipment according to plans, specifications, codes, and industry standards. Position Requirements: Knowledge and safe use of hand tools and power tools Wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Following safety policies and procedures Participating in daily safety and work briefings Installing various types of low voltage cable Managing projects with 5 or more team members Consulting with management to resolve work procedures, complaints, and construction issues Scheduling projects to meet deadlines Interpreting and explaining plans to field workers Terminating, testing, and troubleshooting low voltage cabling (Fiber Optics, Cat 5, Cat 6) Installing pathways and cable trays Installing telecommunications devices and grounding systems Training and supervising technicians and apprentices in team environments Performing quality assurance checks on team installations Maintaining a clean work area and participating in site cleanup Securing tools and materials daily Travel up to 25%, domestic and international Qualifications / Skills Sets / Expectations: Current BICSI Tech certification 5+ years experience in the commercial communications industry High School diploma or GED Ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance if required Valid driver’s license and good driving record Pass background check and drug test Reliable transportation Pass basic telecommunication knowledge test Punctuality, teamwork, and safety awareness Proper attire: long pants and shirts covering shoulders (not provided) Provide basic tools listed prior to employment Desired Skills: Experience with Microsoft Office Physical Abilities: Lift at least 100 pounds at once, 60 pounds for extended periods Relocate a 12-foot stepladder unaided Work at heights up to 60 feet, climb and balance on scaffolds, lifts, ladders Perform routine physical tasks: walking, climbing, lifting, crawling, kneeling, pushing, pulling, reaching Good vision (corrected), color vision, hearing, and communication skills Use ladders and tools safely within weight limits Recognize problems and assess solutions Apply rules to specific problems and identify relationships among events See details close-up and understand spoken information
