Job Summary

KanEquip-Garden City has an immediate opening for a Service Writer to assist the Service Manager with administrative duties and repair orders for agriculture and construction equipment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with the Service Manager to assign jobs to technicians in the service department according to their skill and knowledge.
• Assist in supervising technicians and ensuring excellent customer experience.
• Communicate clearly with customers regarding service work and billing.
• Maintain positive and professional relationships with the service team, dealership staff, and vendors.
• Complete forms for service operations and warranty in a timely and accurate manner.
• Promote teamwork and communication through effective interaction with team members.
• Manage service trucking and sales logistics.

Qualifications

• Experience in an agriculture equipment service department or agricultural equipment dealership.
• Proficiency with computer systems, including MS Office and internet-based applications.
• Ability to work extended hours seasonally, including evenings and weekends.
• Valid driver's license and ability to operate motor vehicles; willingness to travel for meetings and training.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Knowledge of agricultural operations; farming background preferred.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills with customers and employees.
