Job Summary

KanEquip-Ellsworth has an immediate opening for a Service Writer to assist the Service Manager with administrative duties and repair orders for agriculture and construction equipment.

The ideal candidate has…

• Experience in an agriculture equipment service department or an agricultural equipment dealership.
• Expertise with computer systems, including MS Office and internet-based applications.
• Ability to work seasonally extended hours during the week or weekends.
• Current driver’s license and ability to operate a motor vehicle; willingness to travel to company meetings and training as needed.

You will contribute to our team by: (Duties and Responsibilities)

• Coordinating with the Service Manager to assign jobs to technicians based on their skills.
• Assisting in supervision of technicians and ensuring excellent customer experience.
• Communicating clearly with customers regarding service work and billing.
• Maintaining positive relationships with the service team, dealership staff, and vendors.
• Completing forms for service operations and warranty promptly and accurately.
• Promoting teamwork and effective communication within the team.
• Managing service trucking and sales logistics.

If you have/can: (Skills and Experience)

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a service department, preferably as an agricultural dealership technician.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Knowledge of agricultural operations; farming background preferred.
• Solid diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work extended hours during the week and on weekends.
