Admissions Marketer (Administrative)
Manage the admissions process efficiently to ensure a positive experience for residents, families, and staff. Plan, direct, and monitor daily operations of the Admissions Department to meet budgeted resident census goals and ensure professional and efficient admissions. Admit patients to the healthcare facility by completing admission and financial responsibility forms, screening patients against admission criteria, and coordinating necessary services.
Collaborate with other facility departments for timely communication and enhance the admissions experience. Confirm insurance coverage meets standards and coordinate physical, social, emotional, and support services, including transportation. Obtain applicant information, verify details, interview patients and families, and explain admission criteria.
Maintain a comprehensive understanding of facility services to educate referral sources and oversee bed assignments and preliminary paperwork. Coordinate with the Director of Nursing and/or Case Manager to ensure appropriate admissions and maintain accurate bed availability records.
Develop and maintain relationships with physicians, social workers, and discharge planners to maximize referrals. Attend daily stand-up meetings and adhere to safety protocols such as Standard Precautions, Fire Drills, and Evacuation Procedures. Maintain confidentiality of resident information and assist in outreach events to attract potential residents.
Participate in educational opportunities to stay current with industry standards. This position has supervisory responsibilities.
Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, with a Bachelor's degree preferred. Two years of admissions experience and LVN or RN licensure are preferred. Must have strong reading, writing, mathematical, and reasoning skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Suite. Physical demands include lifting up to 25 pounds and prolonged computer use. The work environment is typically low to moderate noise. The role may require assistance during emergency evacuations.
