Visual Inspection Operator Job at Nesco Resource in Birmingham

Work schedule is Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm, with potential overtime and holiday hours. Shift changes may occur in the future.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Perform manual visual inspection of the final product, manipulating each unit to check for flaws or nonconformities according to procedures and criteria.
2. Operate basic equipment and carry out routine tasks following detailed instructions.
3. Execute operational tasks within established processes, including sampling, labeling, and final packaging of finished products.
4. Assist in installing equipment and appliances, following strict instructions.
5. Support maintenance and repair of equipment and appliances as directed.
6. Adhere to strict quality standards to support quality functions.
7. Follow mandatory work instructions, including the use of personal protective equipment, to ensure safety and environmental protection.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Documentation of 20/20 near visual acuity or better (e.g., 20/14); no color blindness. Note: Near visual acuity cannot be substituted with far visual acuity.
• Physical ability to sit or stand for long periods, focus mentally, perform repetitive motions with short breaks, and use PPE appropriately.
• Ability to record detailed numerical data legibly and perform basic math with minimal supervision.
• Effective elementary verbal communication skills for expressing ideas, requesting actions, and planning.
• Work with guidance to develop, interpret, and ensure policies and procedures align with organizational goals.
• Identify, assess, and manage risks at an elementary level under supervision.
• Motivate colleagues to learn and develop, working under supervision to achieve compliance with rules and regulations.
