Sirius Staffing is seeking Visual Inspection Operators (Quality Inspections)for a position inBirmingham, AL. This roleinvolves primarily performing manual visual inspections of final products while adhering strictly to quality and safety standards. Rate:$25.00 per hour+ BenefitsPTO & Holiday PaySchedule:Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM Note:There is potential for overtime/holiday hours. Candidates should be open to working day, evening, or rotating shifts, as schedule changes are anticipated in the future. The ideal candidate will be ableto operate basic equipment effectively, perform routine operational tasks, and support overall quality assurance efforts within the facility. Responsibilities:
- Perform manual visual inspection of final products by individually handling each unit and identifying any flaws or nonconformities based on established procedures and criteria.
- Operate basic manufacturing equipment and execute routine tasks by following strict, detailed instructions.
- Conduct operational tasks, such as finished product sampling, labeling, and final packaging, within defined process parameters.
- Assist in the installation of equipment and appliances by preparing materials and providing support, strictly following detailed guidelines.
- Support maintenance and repair activities by assisting with preparations and following instructions precisely.
- Uphold quality standards by consistently working within stringent quality guidelines.
- Adhere to mandatory work instructions, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), to ensure environmental safety andindividualwell-being.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Documentation of near visual acuity of 20/20 or better (e.g., 20/14), with no color blindness.(Note: Near visual acuity must be verified; far visual acuity is not acceptable as a substitute.)
- Proficient in recording detailed numerical data legibly and performing basic arithmetic (addition and subtraction) with minimal supervision.
- Capable of identifying, assessing, prioritizing, and managing risks within production processes at an elementary level under supervision.
- Physically capable of sitting or standing for extended periods, maintaining focus on detailed tasks, and performing repetitive motions with short breaks.
- Able to use PPE appropriate for potential hazards, including respiratory protection where necessary.
- Effective elementary verbal communication skills to express ideas, request actions, and formulate basic plans or policies under supervision.
- Ability to work with guidance to understand, monitor, and interpret policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
- Able to motivate and support team members in their learning and development to help achieve organizational goals, working under supervision.
- Committed to working under supervision to ensure full compliance with applicable rules and regulations in manufacturing and quality operations.
