Scripps School of Journalism is accepting resumes for potential openings for classes starting in Fall 2025 and continuing in the academic year 2025-2026. The need for these positions is undetermined at this time and is dependent on operational need including enrollment and staffing. If a need arises, the department will select candidates from this posting.

    Classes may be taught online remotely or in person on the Athens, Ohio campus. Please specify your availability in your application.

    Applications to this pool will be utilized to fill part-time, non-tenure track, non-benefits eligible instructor positions for courses offered by the E.W. Scripps School of Journalism on the Athens campus as departmental/student demand dictates. The number of courses offered each semester by the journalism school is largely dependent on full-time faculty leave of absences and student demand. Therefore, we often have the need for part-time instructors with very short notice. Such part-time positions will be filled using qualified applicants from this pool.
