Summary:
We are seeking a Taxonomist to maintain and implement taxonomies within our People ecosystem. This role is crucial for ensuring the accurate organization, discoverability, and personalized delivery of information across various platforms.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and implement HR taxonomies, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and alignment with organizational needs.
• Develop and expand attributed classification schemes to support content organization and retrieval.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including content creators, engineers, and subject matter experts, to understand information needs and design effective taxonomic solutions.
• Conduct regular audits and quality control of metadata to ensure taxonomy health and content performance.
• Advise on best practices for metadata creation, taxonomy use, and information architecture to improve content discoverability and user experience.
• Contribute to the ongoing evolution of the knowledge architecture, ensuring it scales with the organization's growth and changing information landscape.

Qualifications:

• Experience with taxonomy governance
• Experience with knowledge representation and organization systems like, taxonomies, ontologies, and thesauri
• Experience with structured metadata for knowledge management or cataloging
• Experience supporting complex taxonomies for information delivery
• Experience communicating the importance of metadata for knowledge management and content delivery
• A Bachelor's Degree in information science, library science, information technology or a related field

Desired Skills:

• Knowledge of taxonomy workflows
• Knowledge of metadata property schemas
• Knowledge of SKOS, RDF/s SPARQL and other semantic organization or informaion cataloging standards
• Interest in or knowledge of ontologies and knowledge graphs
• Experience with benefits, compensation, health care, payroll, and related HR topics
• Experience working with international partners across different time zones and cultures
• Experience in a fast-paced, Big Tech environment

Pay Transparency: The typical base pay for this role across the U.S. is: $55.00 - $62.00/hr.Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education and experience and the benefits package you select. Full-time employees are eligible to select from different benefits packages. Packages may include medical, dental, and vision benefits, 10 paid days off, 401(k) plan participation, commuter benefits and life and disability insurance.
