Do you enjoy using your imagination at making and managing original compelling content then this is the opportunity for you. WBRE/WYOU in the Wilkes-Barre Scranton PA market, DMA 59. is creating new original content and is looking for a leader who can champion our new effort and run our digital studio. You would be overseeing the creation and development of multiple shows a week. WBRE/WYOU has its own digital studio with multiple cameras tapped into an OBS system. You must be able to lead, mentor and train producers and content creators on an OBS system and have a creative mind to bring original digital programming to life.

The Senior Executive Producer of News & Streaming is a crucial member of the News Management team as we evolve our product in a rapidly changing digital environment.

Experience

• Assist the News Director with management of the news department with emphasis on streaming content
• Assist with planning, staffing, training and performance evaluations.
• Consults on decisions regarding hiring, evaluations, promotions and termination of employees
• Develops news coverage and content strategy for the station streaming content
• Critiques streaming programs daily to correct errors, improve coverage and provide mentoring feedback to staff
• Assigns projects to staff and verifies that deadlines are being met
• Ensure achievement of streaming KPI goals
• Determines programming and evaluation of equipment needs to produce quality programming
• Responds to coverage questions
• Serves as the News Director in his/her absence
• Performs other duties as assigned
  
  

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience
• Fluency in English
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
• Prefer experience in a news leadership role
• Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Ability to effectively listen and fully understand employee needs and communicate with a team to shape a solution
