  • Oversee the operation of audio and video support for events and daily operations, ensuring high-quality technical production. Manage staff, equipment, budgets, and client relationships while troubleshooting technical issues and providing effective solutions.
  • Manage AV staff responsible for troubleshooting and resolving various AV issues, including but not limited to audio issues, visual disruptions, connectivity failures, equipment malfunctions, and control system glitches.
  • Handle complex AV issues, such as integrating diverse AV technologies from various vendors, with different protocols and configurations; ensure compatibility with new and legacy systems, and adapt to emerging technologies. Collaborate with IT and Facilities to integrate AV technology with infrastructure and ensure network compatibility
  • Develop and document AV procedures, standards, and best practices. Stay informed about AV trends and technologies to recommend improvements or upgrades.
  • Create and manage the AV budget, including cost projections for equipment, maintenance, and labor.
  • Work closely with clients, vendors, and other team members to ensure the successful delivery of events.
  • Perform additional duties and projects as assigned by management.

Responsibilities

  • Handle complex AV issues, such as integrating diverse AV technologies from various vendors, with different protocols and configurations; ensure compatibility with new and legacy systems, and adapt to emerging technologies.   • Develop and document AV procedures, standards, and best practices. Stay informed about AV trends and technologies to recommend improvements or upgrades.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience required
  • Minimum five (5) years of relevant experience in event management, as well as the implementation and operation of audio-visual (AV) and video conferencing systems, is required.
  • Minimum two (2) years of supervisory experience required
  • Certifications such as Certified Technology Specialist (CTS), CTS-D, or CTS-I are a plus.
  • Audiovisual Network Professional Certification (ANP) is also preferred.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and customer service skills are also essential for managing teams and working with clients.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings and weekends
