Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Audio Visual Technician located in Colorado Springs, CO. The Audio Visual Technician will be responsible for setting up, operating, testing, and troubleshooting AV equipment used in presentations and meetings. Daily tasks include assembling and disassembling audiovisual equipment, ensuring all equipment is in proper working condition, collaborating with team members to support events, and providing technical support during meetings and presentations. The role may also involve maintaining an inventory of AV equipment and ensuring the proper storage and security of assets.

Duties

• Install, configure, and maintain audio-visual equipment including projectors, sound systems, and video conferencing tools.
• Perform software troubleshooting to resolve technical issues related to AV systems.
• Telecommunicate with clients and team members to provide support and guidance on AV system usage.
• Work with Electrical & Instrumentation (E & I) components to ensure proper functionality of AV setups.
• Execute cabling tasks for low voltage systems, ensuring adherence to safety standards.
• Utilize hand tools to assemble and install AV equipment according to schematics and technical drawings.
• Conduct regular maintenance checks on all AV equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Collaborate with other technicians and departments to coordinate installations and repairs efficiently.

• Demolition and Disposal

“Performs demolition and disposal of network and power infrastructure.”

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Audio Visual Technician or similar role.
• Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of audio-visual technology.
• Familiarity with low voltage cabling and installation practices.
• Proficient in reading schematics and technical diagrams related to AV systems.
• Ability to use a voltmeter for testing electrical components as needed.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot software issues effectively.
• Strong communication skills for effective telecommunication with clients and team members.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
