Caesars Entertainment is looking for a Public Relations Coordinator to provide overall support to the External Communications team. The PR Coordinator’s main responsibilities include monitoring of media coverage, creation of target lists, organizing journalist itineraries and experiences, pitching regional and national media as well as ownership of specific projects under the supervision of senior members of the team. The PR Coordinator will assist with the implementation and development of strategic public relations plans and prepare and distributes news releases, fact sheets, scripts, etc. They will also staff and attend events related to team projects.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Support team effort by participating in all aspects of public relations activities which may include events and media escorting outside of the normal business hours
• Ability to write interesting and effective press releases which generate media coverage
• Responsible for media monitoring, clipping and creation of coverage reports for all team projects
• Communicating with local and regional media on a daily basis.
• Assist with planning and attend all press events.
• Responsible for all team research and tracking of industry trends, editorial calendars related to projects and creation of meeting materials with support from team
Requirements:
• Requires a bachelor's degree in a related area (public relations, journalism, communications, hotel administration/marketing, or mass media.)
• Must have 1 year ofpublic relations experienceor relevant internship experience and coursework
• In-depth knowledge of media relations from key trade publications to national outlets.
• Excellent writing and oral communications skills an absolute must.
