- Develop and present design concepts that embrace holistic wellness with residential and hospitality principles.
- Assist in management of projects through developing project scope, schedules, job production, quality, and fee management.
- Lead programming, conceptualization, development and integration of strategic design solutions.
- Consult with manufacturers, research and evaluate materials.
- Document architectural and interior design drawings.
- Assist in construction administration including responding to RFI’s, preparing sketches and addendums (CCD’s), and visiting the construction site to gather information and/or prepare a punch list.
- Oversee the design work of others to ensure integrated and cohesive design, supervise preparation of drawings for all project phases, and ensure guidelines, quality control, standards and details.
- Lead all phases of the design process including programming and developing workplace standards.
- Mentor junior staff and participate in performance coaching.
- Participate in the recruitment and interviewing process as requested.
- Proven experience designing for senior living environments, including independent and assisted living, memory care, skilled nursing, and amenity spaces.
- Strong background in residential and hospitality design.
- Exeptional ability to lead teams and inspire clients through storytelling and design vision.
- A bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design or equivalent.
- Minimum 15 years of related experience.
- LEED AP preferred. Architectural or Interior Design registration required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign programs.
- Technical competence and proven experience in schematic design through construction documents.
- The ability to contribute and participate in an interdisciplinary team environment.
