Are you passionate about media and storytelling?

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Production Assistant to join our team. This role serves as a steppingstone towards more advanced positions within our organization, offering opportunities to explore pathways to roles such as reporter, producer, or content creator. You will gain experience in media production, covering breaking news, digital content creation, and TV news writing, with mentorship and training provided.

This position collaborates closely with newsroom managers, newscast producers, and the production crew to deliver timely news, weather, and traffic coverage for Northern California. Join us in delivering the region's most-watched news on KRCR News Channel 7 and Fox 20.

Responsibilities include:

• Operating graphics, audio, or camera equipment during newscasts
• Preparing for newscasts, including graphics, studio setup, and operating studio equipment
• Video editing for newscasts
• Creating content for digital and social platforms
• Performing other duties as assigned

Experience:

• Experience is not required; education or internship in television or related fields is preferred
• Training will be provided
• Shifts vary; flexibility to work mornings and weekends as needed
