Overview
Sev1Tech is seeking a talented and detail-oriented Senior Technical Writer to join our Army Tactical Network IPS team on-site in Aberdeen MD. As a Senior Technical Writer, you will play a vital role in creating clear and concise documentation for technical processes, products, and systems.
Responsibilities:
- Advises, manages, and mentors personnel assigned to technical documentation function.
- Interfaces with engineers and technical professionals in writing, editing and publishing various types of documents (e.g., test plans, test reports, survey reports).
- Oversees in-house production flow of technical publications.
- Tracks and monitors flow of all documents from inception to distribution of final copies.
- Identifies and corrects problem areas as they arise.
- Provides final quality assurance check for all document deliverables.
- Participates in department and company-wide proposal writing projects.
- Often serves as proposal coordinator for large production efforts.
- Possesses and applies a comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high impact assignments.
- Plans and leads major technology assignments.
- Evaluates performance results and recommends major changes affecting short-term project growth and success.
- May supervise others.
Responsibilities
- Must have a SECRET level clearance
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree from an accredited academic institution or military school in English or Journalism
- Minimum of six (6) years' professional technical writing experience producing technical documentation on programs supporting projects of similar scope and complexity to this requirement
- Experience with MIL STD 40051
