Show Producer Job at Sinclair Broadcast Group in San Antonio

KABB-TV has an immediate opening for a full-time Show Producer on our live weekday syndicated lifestyle program “Daytime”. This person will develop and execute engaging and talent-driven content seen by our audience across Texas. In this position, you will be working on day-to-day production needs, including producing daily content, line producing, and booking guests. The ideal candidate would also be responsible for managing content and schedules with our syndicated markets. This is not an entry-level position.

Responsibilities:

• Generate and write daily shows and segments that align with the Daytime brand
• Work alongside sales/marketing associates to line up guest segments and work with clients to deliver client expectations
• Manage content from syndicated market correspondents
• Oversee projects delegated to segment producer and associate producer
• Drive social media engagement with a strong presence on Facebook, Instagram, etc.
• Collaborate with the Executive Producer and Host on special themed shows, including destination shows
• Other responsibilities as directed by the department head

Required Skills:

• Have a creative mindset
• Strong writing skills and sharp judgment in production quality
• A proven track record of getting results on initiatives
• Detail-oriented and able to work well independently
• Be able to multitask and manage time to work on multiple projects simultaneously
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment
• Ability to identify problems and provide solutions

Required Experience:

• Must have at least two years of producing experience at a commercial TV station; experience as a Show Runner
• Journalism degree preferred
• Experience using newsroom systems such as iNews is a plus, along with video conferencing systems like Canva, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, etc.
