At CESO, a Senior Designer is responsible for developing designs for complete architectural building projects, including coordination of complex civil, mechanical, or electrical systems. You will also train Designers and Lead Designers. Your primary responsibilities include:
Primary Responsibilities
Drawing detailed scale plans for structures, installations, and construction projects based on preliminary concepts, sketches, and design guidelines from municipalities and governing agencies, as well as data provided by Architects, Project Managers, etc.
Designing and preparing 2D and 3D detailed construction drawings using CAD and BIM software.
Using independent judgement to create complete architectural construction drawings with CAD and Revit.
Interpreting and applying company and AHJ standards on all designs and layouts.
Designing schematic concepts in conjunction with client programs.
Correlating, interpreting, and modifying data from subconsultant drawings and reports.
Converting and digitizing electronic files into usable CAD files.
Preparing drawings in compliance with company standards.
Researching design options and code issues.
Providing high-level customer service and attending client meetings.
Performing redline markups as directed by architectural leadership.
Reviewing civil and SMEP plans for coordination with architectural plans.
Highlighting completed redlines, checking drawings, and reviewing before finalizing work.
Observing construction activities.
Coordinating work with designers and lead designers.
Mentoring team members to foster a positive work environment through coaching and training.
Performing other project and supervisory duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Architecture or Interior Design with 10+ years of experience; or 15+ years of related experience and/or training in lieu of a degree.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, 3D Rendering Software, Photo Editing Software, Newforma, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to travel.
