At CESO, a Senior Designer is responsible for developing designs for complete architectural building projects, including coordination of complex civil, mechanical, or electrical systems. You will also train Designers and Lead Designers. Your primary responsibilities include:
Primary Responsibilities
Draw detailed scale plans for structures, installations, and construction projects based on preliminary concepts, sketches, design guidelines, and data from architects, project managers, etc.
Design and prepare 2D and 3D detailed construction drawings using CAD or BIM software.
Create complete architectural construction drawings using CAD and Revit, applying independent judgment.
Interpret and apply company and AHJ standards on all designs and layouts.
Design schematic concepts in conjunction with client programs.
Correlate, interpret, and modify data from subconsultant drawings and reports.
Convert electronic files into usable CAD files.
Prepare drawings in compliance with company standards.
Research design options and code issues.
Provide high-level customer service and attend client meetings.
Perform redline markups as directed by leadership.
Review civil and SMEP plans for coordination with architectural plans.
Highlight completed redlines, check drawings, and review work prior to submission.
Observe construction activities.
Delegate and coordinate work with team members.
Mentor and motivate team members through creating a positive work environment, providing coaching and training.
Perform other project and supervisory duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Architecture or Interior Design with 10+ years of experience; or 15+ years of related experience/training in lieu of a degree.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, 3D Rendering, Photo Editing Software, Newforma, and Microsoft Office.
Ability to travel.
