We are seeking a motivated Entry-Level Public Relations Assistant to support public relations, community engagement, and event coordination efforts. This position provides practical experience in PR strategy, brand communication, media outreach, and on-site event support for mission-driven initiatives within the local community.
Key responsibilities
- Represent MGN Foundation at community events, outreach campaigns, promotional pop-ups, and other public-facing engagements, communicating organizational messaging clearly and professionally.
- Support event planning and execution, including logistics coordination, setup, on-site support, and teardown to ensure smooth operations.
- Assist with preparation, distribution, and inventory management of marketing and informational materials to increase awareness and participation.
- Collect attendee feedback and observational insights to inform future messaging, outreach strategy, and event improvements.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with attendees, local partners, and community stakeholders while representing organizational values.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or a related field preferred but not required.
- Internship, volunteer, or student organization experience in PR, event coordination, community outreach, or related activities is an advantage.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences and support clear brand messaging.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective time management in fast-paced environments.
- Comfortable working collaboratively in team-oriented settings and representing organizational values in public-facing situations.
- Reliable transportation for travel to local events and availability for occasional evenings and weekend activities as required.
