Job Brief

This is a part-time on-site role for a Public Relations Assistant, located in West Bend, WI. The Public Relations Assistant will handle daily tasks including drafting advertising copy, managing communication on across social media platforms, creating compelling and relevant media content, providing excellent customer service, and supporting public relations strategies. The assistant will also engage in media relations to strengthen the company's public image.

Responsibilities

Support day-to-day operations within the company to ensure timely, accurate and professional decorum ensuring the success of the company in all aspects under the supervision and guidance of the manager:

  • Maintain and execute a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly schedule of content based on the company strategy
  • Manage company events, community events
  • Maintain company website
  • Create media and content using professional platforms similar or like Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Express, Adobe PhotoShop, GoPro Quick, DJI GO, Adobe Premiere, Adobe Bridge, Adobe Platform, etc.
  • Foster an positive customer experience in all avenues
  • Promote and foster team cohesion
  • Process and manage incoming customer and vendor correspondence via mail, email, phone, text message, social media, email, walk-in or on-location, Customer Relationship Manager
  • Manage purchasing as directed by the manager
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Skills in Public Relations, Media Development and Media Distribution
  • Strong Communication and Customer Service skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Degree or certification in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or a related field is preferred
  • Experience in the construction or home improvement industry is a plus, though not required
