About the Role

We are seeking a full-time Technical (Grants) Writer to join our global team. This role involves identifying funding opportunities across domains such as innovation, EdTech, and GenAI, as well as bilateral and multilateral funding for program implementation. The successful candidate will lead proposal writing, develop a library of templates and visual collateral, and contribute to technical communications like blogs and publications relevant to education policy.

The ideal candidate will have experience in technical writing within education and research, with a proven track record in grant writing—preferably for international development and education programs. They should combine excellent writing skills with the ability to accurately describe complex methodologies, demonstrating attention to detail, ownership, and speed.

The Technical (Grants) Writer will report to the Chief Academics Officer.

What You Will Do

  • Identify funding opportunities relevant to NewGlobe, including research and innovation grants and funding to expand our reach.
  • Attend networking events to gather insights and share internally.
  • Develop and write grant applications for private, bilateral, and multilateral funding.
  • Manage grant projects by coordinating stakeholders for successful applications.
  • Collaborate with leadership to accurately depict NewGlobe’s model and approach.
  • Build a template library of descriptions of our core products and methodologies for efficiency.
  • Design visual collateral guidance for infographics and diagrams, working with creative teams.
  • Write technical content such as blogs and publications on NewGlobe initiatives.
  • Understand and navigate NewGlobe’s organizational structure, methodology, and impact record.
  • Deliver high-quality writing efficiently and undertake ad hoc projects as needed.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

What You Should Have

  • Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, humanities, writing, journalism, or related fields; a graduate degree in education or writing is a plus.
  • At least 2 years of grant-writing experience, preferably in education or international development.
  • Research skills and familiarity with funders in education, EdTech, GenAI, and development sectors.
  • Successful grant application experience.
  • Project management experience.
  • Creative vision to articulate complex content visually and in writing.
  • Openness to learning quantitative research methods.
  • Exceptional persuasive and technical writing skills, with attention to detail.
  • Ability to learn quickly and grasp complex topics.
  • Familiarity with education sector issues is advantageous.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, managing priorities effectively.
