Associate Producer

Reporting into: SVP Production Director of Executing Producer

Location: New York, NY

Your Role:

An Associate Producer at McCann New York is passionate about creative and finding ways to make great work! Our Associate Producers not only liaise between account and creative teams and our production partners, but they are also multi-taskers who produce creative across all platforms under the supervision of more senior staff.

As an Associate Producer at McCann New York, you will be learning to leverage your understanding of production, to guide teams and clients through a project lifecycle. This role requires an ability to communicate strongly and effectively to drive decisions and next steps.

What You Do:

•Learn to work directly with account and creative teams to understand the overall business objectives and strategies for production deliverables. (including but not limited to: Test Productions, TV/OLV, Audio, and Still Content)

•Learn to Plan production processes, including but not limited to managing deliverables, budgets, schedules, talent contracts, from pre-production through to delivery.

•Learn to engage and select production partners, triple bidding vendors as required, negotiating competitive rates, working closely with your Business Affairs partners.

•Research emerging trends and technology to implement innovative production solutions.

•Manage third party vendors or offshore partners as necessary in the delivery of projects.

•Maintain communication with creative, account management, and project management to ensure smooth workflow.

•Produce (with Supervision) various forms of content from conception to completion with a strong focus on video.

•Learn about and use knowledge of talent/union regulations to ensure compliance.

What You Bring:

•1-3 years agency production experience or similar with a passion to learn.

•Possess a creative mind with a love of all things production.

•Strong problem-solving skills

•Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously

•Detail oriented with excellent organization, communication and time management skills.

•Solid and developing proficiency of production processes from creative concepts through to delivery

•Effective negotiation and conflict management skills

•Ability to work independently and efficiently.

•A team player who understands how to work effectively in a fast paced, evolving organization.

•Willingness to work off hours as required as per production schedules.

•Ability to travel less than 10% throughout the year

Location:

McCann New York team members must reside in or be willing to relocate to the New York Tristate area unless otherwise agreed upon by their manager and McCann New York’s Human Resources team. McCann New York is a hybrid workplace with three days in-office per week.

Salary Range:

Salary range: $50,000 - $60,000 + overtime. Salary ranges depend on, among other factors, actual ranges for current/former employees in the subject position; the associated discipline market considerations; budgetary considerations; tenure and standing with the company (applicable to current employees); as well as the employee’s/applicant’s background, pertinent experience, and qualifications.
