Associate Producer

Reporting into: SVP Production, Director of Executing Producer

Location: New York, NY

Your Role:

An Associate Producer at McCann New York is passionate about creativity and finding ways to make great work! Our Associate Producers liaise between account and creative teams and our production partners. They are also multi-taskers who produce creative across all platforms under supervision.

As an Associate Producer, you will learn to leverage your understanding of production to guide teams and clients through a project lifecycle. Strong communication skills are essential to drive decisions and next steps.

What You Do:

1. Work directly with account and creative teams to understand business objectives and strategies for production deliverables, including Test Productions, TV/OLV, Audio, and Still Content.
2. Plan production processes, managing deliverables, budgets, schedules, and talent contracts from pre-production to delivery.
3. Engage and select production partners, bid vendors, negotiate rates, and work with Business Affairs.
4. Research emerging trends and technologies to implement innovative solutions.
5. Manage third-party vendors or offshore partners as needed.
6. Maintain communication with creative, account management, and project management teams for smooth workflow.
7. Produce various forms of content, focusing on video, from conception to completion.
8. Understand and apply knowledge of talent and union regulations to ensure compliance.

What You Bring:

• 1-3 years of agency production experience or similar, with a passion to learn.
• A creative mindset with a love for production.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organization, communication, and time management skills.
• Proficiency in production processes from creative concepts to delivery.
• Effective negotiation and conflict management skills.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently.
• A team player who adapts to a fast-paced, evolving environment.
• Willingness to work off-hours as required.
• Ability to travel less than 10% annually.

Location:

Must reside in or be willing to relocate to the New York Tri-State area. The company operates on a hybrid model, with three days in-office per week.

Salary Range:

$50,000 - $60,000 plus overtime, based on experience, market considerations, and other factors.
