Who You Are:
Amoskeag Health is seeking a detail-oriented and mission-driven individual to join us as our next Contract Grant Writer! In this role, you will support the identification, development, and submission of grant proposals that advance our mission to provide high-quality, accessible care—especially for underserved communities in Greater Manchester. This flexible, project-based position offers hours that vary based on funding opportunities and includes:

  • Prospecting grant opportunities across federal, state, and private philanthropic sources
  • Writing clear, compelling, and accurate grant proposals
  • Managing submissions and required documentation

What You'll Do:

  • Identify funding opportunities aligned with the organization's strategic goals, programs, and growth areas.
  • Research, write, and submit compelling grant proposals on behalf of Amoskeag Health, including applications to:
    • Federal agencies (e.g., HRSA, SAMHSA, CDC)
    • State agencies (e.g., NH DHHS, Department of Justice)
    • Private foundations and corporate philanthropy
  • Capable of writing and submitting 25-30 grants per year.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather required program and financial data for applications.
  • Maintain a calendar of deadlines and ensure timely submission of all materials.
  • Adapt proposals to meet funder-specific guidelines and compliance requirements.
  • Assist with occasional post-award documentation, such as letters of acceptance, budget revisions, or narrative adjustments.
  • Support the Communication team with funder communications, when needed.
