If so, Iowa State University Extension and Outreach is seeking a creative, collaborative, and strategic Graphic Designer II to join our Advancement team! This role leads the design and visual identity for a wide range of high-impact projects that support our mission to serve Iowans through education and outreach.
As a key member of our creative team, you will develop compelling print and digital content for strategic communications and marketing pieces, organizational branding projects, large-scale events, marketing campaigns, and strategic initiatives. You’ll collaborate with colleagues across the university and state to ensure brand cohesion and deliver high-quality, accessible design solutions.
What You'll Do:
Lead the visual design for the organization’s strategic communications and branding, major campaigns and events. Develop print and e-accessible digital materials such as templates, brochures, ads, mailers, displays, and signage.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to brainstorm and plan creative solutions. Provide design consultation for web, social media, branding, and photography projects.
Educate staff on branding, accessibility, and design best practices. Deliver in-person and virtual training sessions and coach design staff as needed.
Support team efficiency through process improvement, file organization, and ongoing professional development.
Mentor student interns, coordinate with the College of Design, and support their professional growth.
Capture and prepare visual content for marketing and web use. Assist with video shoots and provide art direction.
Contribute to organizational design strategy and participate in strategic planning discussions.
The successful candidate for this position will have excellent communication, collaboration, and project management skills.
Occasional travel will be involved at times in this role.
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis without sponsorship. Immigration sponsorship is not available for this position.
