Required Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree

Preferred Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, graphic design or related field.

Experience designing a variety of marketing materials, including brochures, flyers, digital signage, and newsletters

Strong experience managing and running an organization's website and social media.

Proficiency with design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) or Canva

Familiarity with website content management systems (e.g., WordPress, Wix, Squarespace)

Basic knowledge of photography or video editing (e.g., Adobe Premiere, iMovie, or mobile editing apps)

Job Description:

The Student Innovation Center is seeking a Marketing Specialist I to join our growing team. This entry-level position will support a variety of internal and external communications projects that promote the Center’s mission and activities. The ideal candidate will be creative, detail-oriented, and eager to build their marketing and communications skills in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in the creation of promotional and marketing materials (digital and print)

Design and schedule social media content across platforms

Support website updates and maintenance

Help develop and execute email marketing campaigns

Contribute to graphic design projects and visual storytelling

Assist in training and mentoring student communications staff

Help maintain brand consistency across all communications

Additional Details:

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

This is an onsite position

The Student Innovation Center is the nexus on campus that inspires students, faculty, and staff to innovate through experimentation, interdisciplinary collaboration, and the free exchange of ideas in an inclusive environment.
