Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced professional to lead the authoring, restructuring, and updating of 70+ security policies, primarily aligned to the NIST 800-53 framework. This role will be 75% technical policy authoring and 25% project management, ensuring quality, compliance, and consistency while working closely with the Policy and Architecture teams, SMEs, and InfoSec stakeholders.

We are seeking an experienced professional to lead the authoring, restructuring, and updating of 70+ security policies, primarily aligned to the NIST 800-53 framework. This role will be 75% technical policy authoring and 25% project management, ensuring quality, compliance, and consistency while working closely with the Policy and Architecture teams, SMEs, and InfoSec stakeholders.

- Project Tracking & Reporting - Use MS Project within Teams to manage timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder updates.
- Workflow Coordination - Coordinate with SMEs, Policy, and Architecture teams to ensure timely progress.
- Status Communication - Provide regular project status reports to stakeholders.
- Governance Support - Ensure policy updates follow established governance frameworks and approval processes.
Technical Policy Authoring - 75%
- Policy Review & Updates - Rewrite, update, and align 70+ existing security policies to NIST 800-53 requirements.
- Policy Restructuring - Organize and streamline existing policy content, remove redundancies, and improve clarity.
- Framework Mapping - Ensure each policy statement aligns to the correct NIST control mapping.
- Collaboration with SMEs - Validate technical accuracy and incorporate subject matter expert feedback.
- Template Refinement - Utilize and enhance existing templates for consistency and usability.

- Policy Authoring & Updates (50%) - Rewrite and update policies to align with NIST 800-53.
- Policy Restructuring (25%) - Organize, streamline, and align policy content to framework requirements.
- Stakeholder Collaboration (15%) - Partner with SMEs and Policy/Architecture teams to validate and approve changes.
- Project Tracking & Reporting (7%) - Track status in MS Project and update stakeholders.
- Template & Governance Refinement (3%) - Maintain and improve templates and governance tools.
