Video And Audio Equipment Operator
The position requires the following duties:
Record and edit video and audio of public meetings in the Albany area. Programming will air on broadcast and cable television as well as live streamed and archived on the website.
Operate equipment for video coverage of public meetings. Operations include:
o Remote Camera
o Audio
o Video playback/record
o Technical directing/switching
o Graphics creation and playback
o System setup, breakdown and troubleshooting
Live webcasting of public meetings.
Operate equipment for radio and television interview programs. Operations include:
o Studio Camera
o Floor Management
o Audio
o Video playback/record
o Technical directing/switching
o Graphics creation and playback
Duplicate and distribute radio and television interview programs to stations.
Master Control Room operations
Record and edit actualities and create Internet download links for television newsrooms.
Evening and occasional overnight work required. Travel may be required. May include an overnight. All travel occurs in NYS in provided vehicle.
Experience and special skills needed:
Experience in field video and audio equipment operation.
o Single camera productions
o Multi-camera live switched meetings and events.
Experience in all aspects of TV studio and control room operations.
Basic knowledge of television graphics creation and operation.
Computer based video editing.
