Position Overview

We are seeking a driven, team-oriented individual to join our growing team as an AV Technician / Installer. This role involves the installation of custom A/V systems, home networks, lighting systems, motorized shades, and security cameras. Programming experience is not required—we’re looking for hands-on installation expertise and are happy to train/educate the right candidate.

Job Responsibilities

• Install and integrate equipment such as: TVs (including wall mounts), in-wall and in-ceiling speakers, lighting control systems, motorized shades, security cameras (CCTV), distributed audio and video systems, and be open to installing any additional gear the customer might introduce.
• Perform pre-wiring, wire terminations, and proper wire management.
• Work on equipment racks, contributing to their setup and layout.
• Use power tools and demonstrate a basic “handyman” mindset—be willing to try new tasks, ask teammates for advice, read manuals, or call tech support when necessary.
• Act professionally and appropriately on construction sites (understanding safety and etiquette) and in client homes (maintaining respect, cleanliness, and professionalism).
• Contribute throughout all phases of a project from initial construction through to customer education.
• Be a team player: communicate effectively and share information with coworkers through job site discussions, group texts, or emails to meet timelines and budgets.
• Understand how to document work using Google Sheets, email, and company-provided software. This includes inventory tracking and status reporting.
• Read and comprehend blueprints and system drawings.
• Maintain company vehicles: restock, clean, and prepare them for daily field use.
• Be flexible with work hours and travel: willing to work late or early as needed, occasionally stay overnight for distant jobs, and be prepared to work outdoors in all seasons when necessary.

Qualifications

• A general understanding of residential construction and how job sites operate.
• Basic computer skills, including Google Workspace
• Strong problem-solving ability and willingness to think creatively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable working on ladders.
• Must have reliable transportation to and from our location (in most cases company vehicles are provided for travel to job sites).
• Apple iPhone, preferred for team compatibility
