Who we need:
Overview:
We are looking for a Senior Media Specialist who is a versatile, omni-channel thinker with experience across media channels such as Search, Social, TV/Radio, and OOH. The ideal candidate thrives in client-facing environments, can ideate and optimize on the fly, and has a strong understanding of both brand marketing and performance-driven media.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the day-to-day media campaign execution lead on assigned accounts, ensuring accurate setup, pacing, and performance across all channels.
- Develop and present comprehensive media plans including objectives, strategies, and tactics with clear rationale to meet client KPIs.
- Collaborate closely with the data analytics team to ensure media strategies are guided by client insights and performance data.
- Engage directly with clients, articulating how traditional and digital media work together to drive results.
- Partner with client success and media planning teams to write and present strategic media briefs.
- Prepare and oversee the execution of media budgets, authorizations, buy releases, schedules, and contracts.
- Monitor campaign performance across channels, identify optimizations, and provide regular budget recaps and performance updates.
- Supervise and mentor junior media buyers; oversee negotiation processes and ensure final buys adhere to guidelines.
- Maintain strong relationships with media reps and stay informed on market conditions and trends.
- Present campaign results and strategic insights to clients; attend client meetings as needed.
- Support new business pitches and special projects as assigned.
- Collaborate with the accounting team to reconcile variances and ensure timely vendor payments.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of media processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3-5 years of media strategy and buying experience across multiple channels (Search, Social, TV/Radio, OOH, etc.)
- Strong understanding of both brand marketing and performance-driven media
- Proven ability to optimize cross-channel media based on performance data and client KPIs
- Highly articulate, quick-thinking, and comfortable ideating in real time with clients
- Experience working closely with analytics to interpret media data and guide strategy
- Excellent presentation, communication, and client relationship skills
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and continuous improvement.
