Senior Structural Designer - Residential Construction

???? Plano, TX | ???? Full-time | ???? $35-$40/hour

About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Structural Designer to lead the design efforts on residential construction projects. If you're a seasoned professional with deep expertise in residential building techniques, materials, and codes, this is your chance to bring impactful designs to life and contribute to projects that shape communities.

What You'll Do

As a key member of our team, you will:

????️ Develop structural designs & drawings for residential buildings using AutoCAD and related software
???? Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to ensure feasibility and code compliance
???? Review & interpret geotechnical reports, site conditions, and architectural plans to craft effective structural solutions
???? Coordinate with construction teams to resolve design-related challenges during execution
???? Prepare documentation for permitting and construction, including calculations and specifications

What We're Looking For

✅ 5+ years of structural design experience, preferably in residential construction
???? Proficiency in AutoCAD (Revit/BIM experience is a plus, not required)
???? Strong knowledge of wood framing, foundation systems, and residential building codes
???? Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
????️ Excellent communication skills with a collaborative mindset
???? Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering, Architecture, or related field (preferred)
