Job Breakdown:
This role will assist in the setup, trafficking, monitoring, and optimization of programmatic and paid social media campaigns across multiple buying platforms for a variety of the agency’s accounts. This role supports the buying team in planning, executing, optimizing, and reporting on programmatic media campaigns (display, video, audio) and paid social media campaigns (Meta, YouTube, Snapchat, etc.).
The ideal candidate is familiar with basic media buying and planning concepts and has a strong interest in learning how to use data to inform media decisions. This position requires a proactive, team-oriented individual who is self-motivated and eager to grow in the digital media space.
The role will report to the Associate Paid Social Manager with support from a Senior Programmatic Buyer.
What You’ll Do:
- Assist buyers in digital media strategy, campaign activation, and performance analysis for assigned clients
- Monitor campaign delivery and performance across programmatic and social platforms, identifying daily optimization opportunities
- Set up, traffic, and monitor campaigns using self-service platforms, including The Trade Desk and Meta
- Troubleshoot setup or performance issues across programmatic and social channels
- Manage daily budget pacing and ensure accurate tracking
Participate in agency and vendor calls to review performance data, interpret insights, and align on action plans - Support the creation of campaign media plans by RFPing media partners and contributing to decks and targeting strategies
- Collaborate with the buying team on monthly performance reporting
- Begin developing expertise in programmatic and paid social media buying methods
What You Bring:
- 0-1 years of media buying experience, preferably within an agency
- Basic understanding of digital media channels
- Basic understanding of advertising analytics and reporting tools
- Familiarity with performance media terminology, such as ROAS, CTR, CPA
- Curious, analytical mindset with a strong interest in media platform mechanics, machine learning, and data interpretation
- Proficiency in Excel - comfortable pulling raw data, creating pivots, and data visuals
- Strong time management skills; able to prioritize immediate client needs alongside long-term projects
- Effective collaborator across teams, while also comfortable working independently on daily responsibilities
Ideal Skills:
- Working knowledge of display, video, and/or DSP partners (DV360, TTD, Yahoo), Experience with The Trade Desk preferred
- Working knowledge of buying on social media platforms such as Meta, Pinterest, Reddit, Snapchat, TikTok or LinkedIn
- Experience in cross-channel and cross-device tracking, optimization, and attribution
- Familiarity with ad serving technologies such as DCM/Campaign Manager
Salary Range:
$55,000 - $60,000
