Job Description
The Academic Multimedia Services (AMS) Student Video Technician is responsible for recording, editing, and processing video and creating graphics where needed. Student Video Technicians work as a group to share and carry out responsibilities on a scheduled basis. Student Video Technicians also help maintain staff presence in the AMS office and Simple Studio, coordinating with clients to meet their needs.
Responsibilities
- Recording, editing, and processing video from classes, university events, and Simple Studio.
- Assisting other AMS and AV members with classroom and event production.
- Organizing and maintaining footage on storage devices.
- Organizing and maintaining AMS equipment and the Simple Studio.
- Maintaining staff presence in the AMS office and Simple Studio.
- Part-Time.
- 15 hours per week.
- $17.95 per hour.
- Excellent customer service, organization, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and multi-task.
- Ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
- Ability to adapt to changing situations in order to maintain quality control.
- Eager to learn new video production skills.
- Basic knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud products.
- Experience with professional HD camcorders and other video/audio equipment.
- Strong knowledge of video recording/editing techniques.
