Summary
Job Description:
The Student Social Media Influencer will work closely with the CAS Communications and Marketing team to create and publish content on the College’s social media (@AUCollege) to help promote the College and AU community to prospective students. The Student Influencer should be outgoing, curious, adept at creating and editing video content, willing to engage with faculty, staff, and students on camera, and ready for their pride in AU to shine through!
Essential Functions
- This student must be dependable, organized, and skilled with social media video creation.
- Create engaging content to increase awareness and community around the CAS brand.
- Share information in an engaging and creative manner.
- Part-Time.
- 5 - 10 hours per week.
- May require occasional evening, in-person, or virtual event attendance.
- $17.95 per hour.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work on a team.
- Strong sense of initiative, maturity, and a high level of attention to detail.
- Friendly and charismatic with a love of AU and CAS.
- Comfortable in front of a camera; public speaking experience is a plus.
- Comfortable with using social media and other digital tools.
- Experience as a content creator/editor through vlogs, filmmaking, or reels is preferred.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to work collaboratively and independently to prioritize assigned tasks and execute them while meeting deadlines.
- Well-connected across campus with awareness of campus happenings and trends.
- Open to all students with a Federal Work Study Award who are enrolled in an American University degree program for the 2025 - 2026 academic year.
- This position is available only to enrolled American University students.
