ASSYST is seeking a UI/UX Designer for a State client in Austin, TX. The ideal candidate should understand business objectives, identify solutions, analyze user requirements, and improve existing systems. The role involves enhancing accessibility, usability, and responsiveness of eligibility systems.
Job Title: Senior UI/UX Designer
Location: Austin, TX (Hybrid)
Work Arrangement: 2 days remote, 3 days onsite (Mon, Tues, Thurs). Candidates must be local to Austin (within 50 miles).
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead user research and journey mapping to optimize user interactions.
- Demonstrate extensive UX design experience with a portfolio showcasing research, wireframing, prototyping, and usability testing.
- Develop wireframes and prototypes adhering to accessibility and branding standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and apply industry best practices.
- Conduct discovery workshops, feedback sessions, and sprint planning.
- Utilize tools like Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, Hotjar; implement usability testing, responsive design, and SEO strategies.
- Design interfaces for systems with AI/ML, focusing on explainable AI and human-AI interaction.
- Design for complex systems with business logic and regulatory compliance.
- Create data visualizations for complex data and AI insights.
- Advocate for user needs and ensure inclusive design with accessibility standards.
- Communicate effectively with teams and stakeholders.
- Bonus: Experience with eligibility systems or rule-based, data-intensive applications.
Minimum Requirements:
- 11+ years of experience in UI/UX design for enterprise systems, including wireframes and prototypes using Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch.
- 11+ years of experience collaborating with technical and non-technical teams, translating needs into design solutions.
- 10+ years of applying UX principles for responsive and accessible interfaces.
- 10+ years creating wireframes and prototypes supporting agile development.
- Preferred: 5+ years designing graphical diagrams, workflows, and system architecture visuals.
- Preferred: 3+ years facilitating design workshops and stakeholder feedback sessions.
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in related fields or equivalent experience.
- Strong multitasking skills across multiple design streams.
