Job Description
Tzumi Electronics is looking for a freelance Designer who has real experience and specializes in Amazon or other retailer product listings, websites and social media content. We are looking for a strong visual communicator with attention to detail—a love of typography, composition and color should be evident in portfolio. A few of the consumer categories you would be working on: Fitness, Health & Beauty, and Countertop Appliances. You will be working alongside an incredibly talented team of Creatives. Must be proficient in Adobe Suite. This candidate will contribute to bringing eye-grabbing design for in store and online. Retouching skills a PLUS! This is potentially a freelance to perm position.
You must have a strong portfolio in print and digital to be considered for this position.
NOTE: This is an in-office position.
Qualifications:
• The position requires strong knowledge of designing PDPs and other online content.
• Knowledge of packaging design is a plus.
• Attention to detail and the ability to multi-task is a must.
• Bachelor's degree with a focus in Graphic Design or Communication Design.
• Consumer electronics package design experience.
• Highly motivated and self-starter, passionate and collaborative team player.
• Organizational skills; ability to manage multiple projects, sometimes under tight timelines.
• Strong written and verbal skills.
• Strong print-production knowledge (die lines, bleed, color modes, live area, etc).
• Thrives in a team environment, contribute ideas and interact with cross-functional partners.
• Works well in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
• Positive energy and solution oriented.
• Understands the needs of a strong in-house creative team.
• Knowledge of print mechanicals a must.
• Must have excellent Adobe Suite knowledge and skill set.
Responsibilities:
• Responsible for the development and execution of packaging design and online listings reporting to the Brand Director.
• Working in collaboration with the team to create designs that are executable within industrial cost and time constraints.
• Understand the power of packaging in-store and online to attract the consumer and sell the product.
• Aesthetic review of all components, proofs, etc.
• Manage external comp houses.
• Foster idea sharing, skills and concepting.
• Actively participate in operational and creative meetings.
• Maintain all physical color and component history.
• Problem solves by creating new approaches, seeking ideas and suggestions.
• Adapt quickly to new products and brand development.
• Be able to generate design options and creative explore for management review.
