Job Title: Mechanical Designer Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Designer to develop 3D CAD models and 2D engineering drawings while maintaining detailed technical documentation. You will apply GD&T, tolerance analysis, and engineering standards to drawings, support engineers in design reviews, prototyping, and system integration, revise drawings based on feedback and engineering changes, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accuracy and manufacturability.
Responsibilities
Develop 3D CAD models and 2D engineering drawings.
Maintain detailed technical documentation including diagrams, layouts, and bills of materials.
Apply GD&T, tolerance analysis, and engineering standards to drawings.
Support engineers in design reviews, prototyping, and system integration.
Revise drawings based on testing feedback and engineering changes.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as fabrication, machining, and assembly.
Source standard parts and incorporate COTS components into assemblies.
Essential Skills
Strong proficiency with SolidWorks.
Experience in mechanical design, new product development, and sheet metal.
2+ years of drafting and design experience in an engineering environment.
Knowledge of GD&T and engineering drawing standards.
Familiarity with manufacturing processes such as welding, sheet metal, machining, and composites.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or related field.
Experience with AutoCAD or CATIA is a plus.
Comfortable with hands-on work and occasional shop-floor collaboration.
U.S. Citizenship required.
Work Environment
You will work at a manufacturing site focused on flight simulation structures. The role involves close collaboration with mechanical engineers and fabrication teams to support the design and fabrication of custom structures, training systems, and simulation equipment. This is a hands-on environment, requiring occasional shop-floor collaboration.

This is a Contract position based out of Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $55.00/hr.
