Under the administrative direction of the Chief, Administration Services Division, the incumbent is responsible for planning, organizing, and administering the department’s Communication Programs and staff related to the internal and external websites, marketing efforts, media, and business publications. The incumbent is also responsible for planning, organizing and administering the Executive Services Section which handles all sensitive contacts that come into the department from taxpayers, practitioners, elected public officials, and members of the Franchise Tax Board. In the event of a crisis or critical emergency, the incumbent may receive direct guidance from the Executive Officer, Government Operations Agency and Franchise Tax Board members as it pertains to implementing the department’s crisis communication plan and media strategy.
