Job DescriptionExperienced senior manager responsible for developing and implementing promotion, loyalty, and gift card strategies to drive customer engagement and retention. Oversees a team of marketing professionals to create and execute targeted campaigns, promotions, and loyalty initiatives. Leads the gift card program, optimizing both sales and redemption experiences to support customer acquisition and brand affinity. Analyzes data and market trends to refine strategies and achieve business objectives. Collaborates cross-functionally with sales, product development, and customer service teams to ensure alignment and maximize impact. A strategic leader with a strong track record of delivering results in highly competitive markets.Duties and ResponsibilitiesPromo StrategyDevelop promo plan for each 8-12-week period / season based on our broader strategic principles for discountingTranslate this strategy into the promotional event calendar; own, maintain and communicate updates to the Sr. Manager of Marketing Operations to lead executionMake recommendations to VPs using a strong understanding of historical event performance, event rotation strategy, inventory availability and ability to execute in storesOwn and lead weekly momentum meeting with VPs (on Tuesdays) and cross-functional working team meetings (on Wednesdays); ad hoc meetings on promo strategyBecome the expert in the impact our promotions have on our customers and partner with MarTech & IT to develop new discounting offersPartner with Marketing Analytics to create a comprehensive performance recap library of each event type including customer segment level impact to help drive personalization Inside Track ClubExecute day-to-day PMing functions of the program to ensure ongoing program benefits (e.g., monthly deals, weekly emails, weekend step up offers, etc.) and critical business as usual tasks (e.g. renewal emails, in-store signage updates) stay on trackOwn bi-weekly ITC update with VP team and bi-monthly update with ExecsBuild and maintain a performance dashboard for the ITC Program; monitor and socialize key program trends to identify opportunities to drive growth and performanceDrive initiatives to increase member sign-ups, improve retention of existing customers and find new ways to pitch the value of ITC to members & non-membersEnsure balance of ITC step-ups in our promo calendar so that ITC members feel the extra valueSupport the creation of a revised roadmap for an ITC program refresh Gift Card ProgramOwn strategy, execution, and performance of the Harbor Freight Gift Card program across physical and digital channelsPartner with cross-functional teams (Store Ops, Ecomm, IT, Finance) to ensure seamless customer experience, operational compliance, and liability managementDevelop and execute marketing plans to grow gift card sales and explore new opportunities such as gifting, promotions and third-party distributionTrack and analyze performance metrics (sales, redemption, breakage) and present insights and recommendations to senior leadership Additional ResponsibilitiesBuild Exec ready presentations to communicate promo and ITC strategy on a weekly basisBuild strong relationships with Marketing leaders to enable advocacy for promo strategy and ITC programPartner with Ecomm, Merchandising, Finance, Inventory and Store OpsScopeStaff supervision and development: YesDecision making: Yes - involved in strategic decision-makingTravel: Up to 10%Flex Designation: AnywhereRequirementsEducation and ExperienceEducation RequirementsBachelors' Degree preferably with a business major or related fieldMBA or similar advanced degree preferredYears of Experience8+ years of relevant experience required in a related fieldMarketing and/or Customer Loyalty Program experience preferredManagement consulting / strategy experience a plus5+ years of Project Management experience preferred with skill necessary to drive multiple, complex initiatives in parallelSkillsExpertise in crafting and executing comprehensive promotional plans, including event calendar management, strategic discounting principles, and multi-channel communication.Proven ability to manage and optimize loyalty and/or gift card programs, encompassing day-to-day operations, member engagement initiatives, performance monitoring, and strategic roadmap development.Skilled in leveraging historical performance data, customer segmentation, and analytics to drive strategic recommendations, create comprehensive performance recaps, and build executive-ready dashboards.Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional teams, facilitating productive meetings, building strong relationships with marketing leaders, and partnering with E-commerce, Merchandising, Finance, Inventory, and Store Operations.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a track record of presenting complex strategies and program updates to senior leadership and executive teams.Deep understanding of promotional impact on customer behavior and ability to identify opportunities for personalization and program growth.Physical RequirementsGeneral office environment requiring ability to:Stand, walk, sit for extended periods of time.Speak and listen to others in person and over the phone and video conferencing.Use keyboard and read from computer screen and reports.The ability to lift up to 15 lbs.SafetyMust be able to perform this job safely in accordance with standard operating procedures and good manufacturing practices, without endangering the health or safety of self or others.About Harbor Freight ToolsWe're a 45 year-old, $8 billion national tool retailer with the energy, enthusiasm, and growth potential of a start-up. We provide our customers with the right tool for the right job at the right price, always delivering quality and value.The anticipated salary range for this position is $126,700 - $190,100 depending on location, knowledge, skills, education and experience. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition, we offer comprehensive and competitive benefits to Associates (and their families) such as medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability. Eligible Associates are able to enroll in our company's 401k plan. Associates will accrue paid time off up to 236 hours per year (inclusive of PTO, floating holidays, and paid holidays). Paid sick time up to 80 hours per year unless otherwise required by law.
