Internal Communications Manager (Fixed-Term)

Kraken is on a mission to accelerate the global adoption of cryptoand our internal communications team plays a critical role in aligning, inspiring, and activating Krakenites around that goal.

We're looking for a driven, creative, and highly organized Internal Communications Manager (Fixed-Term) to help us level up how we engage and inform our global team. You'll help our Krakenites stay in sync with the rapid pace of change across the company and deeply connected to our mission of financial freedom and inclusion.

This is a 100% remote, high-impact contract role, reporting to our Sr. Director of Internal Communications. You'll collaborate closely with leadership, cross-functional teams, and especially our People team (Krakenite Experience / KX) to drive clarity, connection, and culture at scale. You'll play a key role in managing comms around org changes, launching internal programs, and making sure every Krakenite understands where we're going, and how they contribute.

If you thrive in fast-moving environments, can balance strategic storytelling with tactical execution, and want to build the future of crypto from the inside out, we want to talk to you.

This role is remote for a resource located in the US or Canada. This role is a fixed term engagement through January 31, 2026.

The Opportunity
  • Lead planning and execution of internal communications that bring clarity, energy, and purpose to every message, from org updates to new initiatives and cultural moments.

  • Own creation and distribution of content that engages and activates Krakenites: videos, decks, Slack posts, events, and more.

  • Partner with KX and key business leaders to drive internal understanding and adoption of critical people programs and change initiatives.

  • Help to optimize feedback loops: track comms effectiveness, iterate based on what works, and always push to raise the bar.

  • Champion our voice and values internally, ensuring comms are consistent, thoughtful, and aligned with the broader Kraken brand.

  • Operate with urgency and bias for action in West Coast US hours (or compatible timezone).

  • Take on additional projects that grow the impact and visibility of the internal comms function.

  • Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned

Skills You Should Hodl
  • 5+ years of experience in internal communications and change management, ideally within a high-growth tech or crypto org.

  • Proven success partnering with People/HR teams on org-wide messaging and rollout of employee programs.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strategic thinker who can also execute end-to-end: brief to production to launch to measurement.

  • Comfortable in ambiguity and confident navigating complex org environments.

  • Passion for crypto, self-sovereignty, and building at the edge of innovation.

  • You're hands-on, humble, and hustle-driven: no task is too small if it drives impact.

Nice-to-Haves
  • BA in Communications, Journalism, or equivalent experience
