Position Overview:
Georgia State University's Instructional Innovation and Technology (IIT) division is seeking a skilled professional to join our vibrant and growing team as an Audio Visual Engineer, Associate. Reporting to the Assistant Manager, Learning Environments Design, this associate supports the interactions between technical support issues, design best practices, and customer requirements. The Audio Visual Engineer, Associate is also responsible for staying abreast of emerging technologies and how those technologies can be applied into new instructional scenarios within learning and conference spaces.
Key Responsibilities:
The scope of responsibilities for this position will include but is not limited to the following essential duties:
*Operate and configure intermediate-level AV technologies, including Crestron systems and video teleconferencing platforms.
*Contribute to holistic design discussions that integrate technology and environmental solutions for optimal learning experiences.
*Assist with AV system installations and commissioning of learning and conference spaces and other AV environments.
*Research and develop innovative technology interactions to support instructional and research needs.
*Assist with populating and maintaining the campus-wide learning space management tools such as Q-SYS, Vaddio Deployment Tool and Crestron Roomview Fusion.
*Apply intermediate networking skills to support AV device integration and management.
*Collaborate with campus partners to develop project schedules and implementation plans

Bachelor's degree and one year of related experience; or a combination of education and related experience.
Preferred Hiring Qualifications:
*Familiarity and/or experience with Q-SYS AV Systems
*Familiarity and/or experience with Microsoft Visio
*One or more years of experience supporting educational technology environments
*Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
*Knowledge in Service Management with a focus in the Information Technology Infrastructures Library (ITIL)
*Basic TCP/IP network experience
