The purpose of this class is to serve as a cross-functional web marketing generalist on the web team, assisting with the creation and maintenance of the content presented on the college website. This includes working with subject matter experts throughout the college to ensure the content is accurate, meets audience needs, and conforms to CCBC’s web content standards, marketing strategies, and ADA guidelines for accessibility.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, English, Marketing, or related field.
  • 1 year of full-time or 2 years of part-time online content development and publishing experience.

Required Skills:

  • Familiarity with content management systems.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Ability to work in Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Photoshop and Acrobat Pro.

Preferred Experience: Higher education setting.

Certifications:

  • None required at hire.
  • Within 2 years, achieve:
  • Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies (CPACC) and Web Accessibility Specialist (WAS), OR
  • W3C Introduction to Web Accessibility certificate.

Additional Information:

Compensation is determined by education and experience, generally in the lower third of the posted range. For best consideration, apply by September 10, 2025.

Essential Duties:

  1. Use CMS to ensure website content is accurate, current, and compliant with standards, marketing goals, and ADA guidelines.
  2. Edit and publish content, assist with content development and asset management.
  3. Conduct content audits for relevance and compliance.
  4. Support web team to ensure quality and timely content delivery.
  5. Focus on assigned content areas, collaborate with SMEs and the Digital Strategy team.
  6. Coordinate content updates with subject matter experts.
  7. Review and publish event submissions.
  8. Ensure content adheres to standards and accessibility regulations.
  9. Perform quality assurance checks for content issues.
  10. Support web accessibility efforts, including writing alt text.
  11. Collaborate with designers for web content sourcing.
  12. Assist in testing new website components.

Other duties may be assigned as needed.
