Kaiser Permanente is hiring: Ophthalmic Photographer in Yorba Linda

Essential Responsibilities:

1. Operates an Ophthalmic fundus camera (e.g., Zeiss Fundus Flash III) to photograph portions of the eye, such as anterior segment, the ocular adnexa, and the ocular fundus.
2. Explains test procedures and their purposes.
3. Monitors and evaluates test readings during procedures.
4. Performs fluorescing angiography and ultrasound diagnostic procedures.
5. Prepares exam results for interpretation by the physician.
6. Consults with the physician concerning test results and alerts them to positive test results or abnormalities.
7. Fills requests for equipment and supplies.
8. Assumes other activities and responsibilities as directed from time to time.

Pay Grade: 23

Basic Qualifications:

• Experience: One (1) year of experience as an ophthalmic photographer is required.
• Education: Not applicable.
• License, Certification, Registration: Not applicable.

Additional Requirements:

• Not applicable.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification by the Joint Commission on Allied Health Personnel on Ophthalmology is preferred.

Notes:

• This is an on-call position; days and hours may vary.
• Days and times will vary based on operational needs.
• Start and end times may range from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm.
• Travel to all Ophthalmology locations is required.
• Cross-training on test images will be provided.
• Rotating weekends are required.
