YOU ARE: A talented SENIOR ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE to join our team who is a strategic self-starter and creative thinker with intellectual curiosity and a collaborative nature. You can deliver a high level of client service along with needle-moving results in media relations, speakers' bureau, executive visibility, thought leadership, social media and influencer relations. You have experience in the media, martech and adtech spaces or you are someone who has the hunger to learn it quickly.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
As a Senior Account Executive, you’ll play a key role across several high-profile accounts, supporting day-to-day PR execution with strategic oversight from senior leadership. Responsibilities include:
- Securing high-impact earned media coverage by building relationships with top-tier media, trade outlets, and influencers
- Developing and maintaining relationships with key media outlets and influencers at top-tier business, trade, consumer/lifestyle, broadcast outlets (should have existing media relationships).
- Identifying newsworthy trends through active monitoring of key media to provide meaningful recommendations on story ideas that will generate coverage and buzz.
- Providing counsel and direction to clients, showing a keen understanding of the media landscape and business needs.
- Developing media materials, create media lists, and craft creative pitches to secure interest in and coverage of client news. Inclusive of crafting content for LinkedIn and other social platforms.
- Brings an understanding of the industry’s top tentpoles and conference events.
- Providing on-site support at conferences/events as needed.
- Editing and proofing a variety of content -- press releases, bylines, speaker/event abstracts, social posts -- to ensure creativity, quality and consistency of voice.
- Conducting research and analysis of topics of importance to clients.
- Staying up to speed on current industry news, trends and technology.
- Attending and actively participating in client meetings.
- Preparing status reports and developing editorial calendars.
- Participating in new business development and agency marketing initiatives.
- Effectively writing social media content and facilitating social media community engagement (a plus)
EXPERIENCE & ATTRIBUTES
- 3-4 years’ experience in public relations at a PR agency (preferred) or in a PR role at an advertising agency. Experience working with clients in adtech/martech.
- Strong grasp of the B2B landscape, particularly in media, adtech, and/or martech
- Experience collaborating across internal teams and managing client communications.
- Early adopter when it comes to tech and social media, has experience with AI-powered research tools.
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree.
- Mastery of all the foundational skills one would expect at this level, including working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities; delivering on multiple deadlines; high-caliber writing; active listening and attention to detail; and familiarity and comfort with digital and social media.
- Compelling communicator and relationship builder with an entrepreneurial mindset.
